Events, fairs and shows in Barrio París Londres this month.
This is where the month's events, fairs and shows in the neighborhood will go. If you organize activities in Barrio París Londres, add them to the hub and they'll appear in these listings.
The París-Londres neighborhood was built from 1922 on the orchards of the San Francisco convent, with a winding layout designed to recreate a European street in the center of Santiago.
In just two blocks you'll find neoclassical, art deco and neocolonial façades, with iron balconies, lampposts and cobblestones that remain practically intact.
The ensemble rests on the San Francisco Church, the oldest standing building in the city, whose colonial museum holds the largest collection of Cusco School painting in Chile.
At Londres 38 there is a memory site open to the public, documenting the building's use as a detention center during the dictatorship. The neighborhood thus combines architecture, memory and an unbeatable location next to the Alameda.
