Events, fairs and shows in Barrio Concha y Toro this month.
This is where the month's events, fairs and shows in the neighborhood will go. If you organize activities in Barrio Concha y Toro, add them to the hub and they'll appear in these listings.
The Concha y Toro neighborhood was built in the 1920s on the grounds of the former Concha y Toro family residence, with an irregular layout of curved streets that breaks with the grid of downtown Santiago.
Its houses and small palaces were designed by architects working with European references: neoclassical and art deco façades and French- and English-style details in just a few blocks.
The heart of the neighborhood is Plaza Libertad de Prensa, a small cobbled oval that serves as a frequent film set and as a meeting point for residents.
Declared a Typical Zone, it is one of the best-preserved residential ensembles in the Santiago municipality and a must for anyone exploring downtown with an eye for architecture.
